Beginners

Tennis Hot Shots is the national starter tennis programme for New Zealand children.

Smaller courts, shorter racquets and softer balls mean that kids can play a proper game of tennis from the moment they step on court.

Hot Shots groups are based on a combination of age, experience, and skill level.

Hot Shots Red, Orange and Green Ball coaching at the club is run directly by Nick Caton Tennis.

Junior Interclub

Interclub teams participate in the Tennis Canterbury Summer Competition.

Teams compete in both single and double matches.
 

Matches are played across a wide range of clubs and locations throughout the city. 
 

Parents/caregivers of the team members are required to transport & supervise the team on a roster basis, and must stay with the team for the duration of the matches.

Summer interclub season runs from October – March.

Juniors compete in interclub either:

  • Fri 4:30pm

  • Sat 8:30am (12 yrs and under)

  • Sat 10:30am (13 yrs and up)

We have interclub teams for all age groups and every level of play.

​

Teams have one hour of weekly coaching during the summer interclub season (Term 4 and Term 1) at a time that suits the team.

Teen Social

 

This group includes teens who want to improve their skills without playing competitively, as well as those who are beginners.
